Sally Beauman studierte in Cambridge Literaturwissenschaft und arbeitete danach als Journalistin für viele angesehene Zeitschriften in England und Amerika, unter anderem für die "New York Times" und den "Observer", für "Vogue" und "Harper's Bazar". Heute widmet sie sich ganz der Schriftstellerei. Sally Beauman lebt mit ihrer Familie in London.
